Workflow using the RED Digital Cinema system is a
tricky
little beast, but we have had enough experience
to
know
how to get the best results quickly and efficiently,
depending upon
the nature of your project, time available and
the final delivery media.
So, as clients come to us with a wide variety of projects, each with different needs, we take time to map out the best workflow path for them from start to finish - before production begins - to maximize the potential each option offers.
We tailor appropriate workflows on a job by job basis, and provide the
right equipment to achieve those. This could be as simple as ensuring that
all of the footage shot is delivered safely on two or more hard drives each
day or at the end of the shoot. Or, if you would like to take your project one
step further, we can encode the RED footage at an absurd speed with our RED Rocket encoder, color correct it on location, then
complete a rough assembly edit or even a complete finished edit, and finish
that off by mastering it to HDCAM, for delivery to a
broadcast station, or DVD master for replication.
All in all, evolving the right RED workflow is much like catching a basket of cats - tricky to handle and potentially dangerous!
